Mussoorie's 'winter line' with myriad shades of yellow, red and orange draws tourists

While Mussoorie is known for its picturesque landscape, waterfalls, etc, there is a unique attraction in the town about which most tourists remain unaware of. The 'winter line' is visible on the western horizon in the evening from mid-October to January. As the sun sets, the horizon comes alive with myriad shades of yellow, red, orange, purple and mauve. The sun sets behind what is essentially this colourful false horizon.
