A mother’s grief has turned into a fight for accountability after her 23-year-old son, Sahil Dhaneshra, died in a road crash in Dwarka. Inna Makan alleges that the SUV was being driven recklessly by a minor filming social media reels when it rammed into her son’s motorcycle near Lal Bahadur Shastri College. Delhi Police registered an FIR and confirmed the driver was a minor without a licence. He was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and later granted interim bail citing Class X board exams. The crash also left a taxi driver seriously injured. Sahil, a final-year BBA student with admission to a Manchester university, was preparing to move abroad. Now, his mother has launched an online petition demanding strict legal action, accountability of the vehicle owner and tougher enforcement against reckless driving.
