A press conference regarding the report submitted by the Supreme Court panel on Adani Group was held in Delhi on May 19. In the presser, Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi clarified that the stocks of Adani Group were not manipulated and that no violation was made by the group. Advocate Mukul Rohatgi said, “The report has found that there is no stock price manipulation by Adani Group and no violation of related party transaction…” Meanwhile, the Supreme Court-appointed expert committee said that the empirical data showed that retail investors’ exposure in the group has increased after January 24, 2023. The committee also concluded, based on empirical evidence, that the Indian market as a whole was not “unduly volatile”.
