Pre-orders open in US for ‘The Speeder’, world’s first jet-powered flying motorcycle

United States-based aviation company Jetpack Aviation has started taking pre-orders for the world’s first jet-powered flying motorcycle. The self-stabilising flying motorcycle has been named ’The Speeder’. The jet turbine-powered flying motorcycle will be capable of reaching speeds of 240 kmph in the air and an altitude of 15,000 feet. The Speeder has been developed for both commercial and military use, it will run on kerosene, Jet A or diesel fuel and produce a maximum thrust of 1,200 lbs (544 kg). Pre-orders in the US for ’The Speeder’ have opened at 38,000 dollars (Rs 26.6 lacs approx)
