The Supreme Court has invoked Article 142 and issued binding directions to all High Courts to reduce delays in judgments. A bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant ordered reserved judgments to be delivered within three months and bail orders on the same or next day. Courts were also directed to upload judgments online within 24 hours and ensure immediate communication of bail orders. The ruling came during a case concerning delays in pronouncement and uploading of judgments in the Jharkhand High Court. Watch
