One aspirant said they “could not sleep the whole night” after seeing the paper, while others admitted feeling demotivated and uncertain about whether to continue preparing for future attempts. Several students argued that if the exam pattern or syllabus orientation is changing significantly, aspirants deserve clearer communication in advance. As discussions continue across Delhi’s UPSC circles and online platforms, the conversation around the Civil Services Examination is no longer limited to difficulty levels alone. It now reflects growing concerns over unpredictability, mental pressure, preparation strategy, and the emotional cost associated with one of India’s most competitive examinations.
