Political heat is rising in Tamil Nadu as the 2026 Assembly elections approach. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Indian National Congress are locked in seat-sharing discussions, with Congress seeking a larger share. State Congress chief K Selvaperunthagai insisted there is no disagreement and said negotiations are normal in every election. DMK leaders echoed the same tone, stressing that minor hiccups will be resolved. The alliance, part of the INDIA Bloc, faces scrutiny as rivals hope for cracks. However, both sides say the partnership remains strong and ideological. A final decision on seat allocation is likely soon, setting the stage for what could be a decisive electoral battle in 2026.
