Tamil Nadu Political Turmoil Intensifies As Speaker Accepts Rebel MLA Resignations & Debate Heats Up
Tamil Nadu politics saw fresh turmoil as Speaker JCD Prabhakar accepted Esakki Subbaiah’s handwritten resignation after rejecting a typed version. Subbaiah is expected to join Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, amid growing accusations of horse trading. Three MLAs had earlier resigned from the AIADMK rebel camp, reducing its strength to sixteen. Opposition leaders alleged procedural violations and urged the Speaker to halt resignations. The Speaker maintained that resignations must follow proper format and personal submission rules strictly.
