Transport association calls off strike after Gadkari's assurance

The nationwide strike by truckers called by the All India Motor Congress (AIMTC) demanding scrapping of the toll collection system was called off after a meeting with Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Interacting with media persons, AIMTC President Bhim Wadhwa said that the minister had assured them that their problems would be resolved by December 15.
