What has the govt achieved by introducing the Rs 2,000 note and now by withdrawing it: NCP leader Clyde Crasto

The Reserve Bank of India on Friday announced withdrawal of the Rs 2,000 denomination banknotes from circulation. However, the Rs 2,000 notes will continue to be a legal tender. NCP leader Clyde Crasto asked the government why in the first place the note was introduced.
