While Indian pacer Khaleel Ahmed continues to win hearts with his bowling for the Indian cricket team, his parents and friends back home in Tonk share the hardships they faced in providing him with the cricket training needed to reach there. Tonk is a constituency in Rajasthan about 110 km away from Jaipur. Khaleel Ahmed’s father Khursheed Ahmed had to drive his son to Jaipur everyday for eleven years straight to get his training, due to the lack of connectivity between Tonk and Jaipur, aspirations of 700-900 kids like Khaleel are left crippled everyday. An issue that has become a highlight for the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan.
