A total of 346 cricketers, including 226 Indians, will go under the hammer at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 auction to be held in the Pink City of Jaipur on December 18. The intense battle among the eight franchisees is expected to start at 2.30 PM (IST) in Jaipur. The auction will see 118 capped and 228 uncapped players being auctioned. The highest base price for the auction is Rs 2 Crore and only nine players are in the top bracket. There is no Indian in the marquee list. The Rs 50 lakh bracket will see 18 Indian and 44 overseas players (total 62) in the auction. The uncapped players will enter the auction in three different base price brackets – 20 lakh, 30 lakh, and 40 lakh.
