UAE captain Muhammad Waseem dismissed concerns over delays and the India-Pakistan handshake row, insisting his team’s only focus was cricket. “We came for the game, with our plan, and were ready whether it started at 6:30 or 7:30. That’s the organizers’ job, not ours,” he said. Addressing camaraderie within his squad, Waseem stressed unity: “No Indian, no Pakistani for us. We are playing and living here as a family, representing the UAE together.”
