Ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian hockey team on July 26 were seen practising ahead of the league stage matches. Captain of Indian women’s hockey team Savita Punia and Indian men’s team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh expressed their excitement ahead of the matches. “We are excited as we have been getting training for 4 years for CWG. We have just played World Cup. Being the Captain gives me a lot of responsibility but our team supports each other,” said Savita Punia. “Our team is fully prepared for the CWG and we are all very excited about our matches. The coming 3-4 days are going to be crucial for last-minute practices. Our target is to be the pool toppers and go back home with a medal,” he said.
