Shooter Avani Lekhara becomes first woman from India to clinch gold in Paralympics

At Tokyo Paralympics 2020, Indian shooter Avani Lekhar created history by winning a gold medal in the R2 - Women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 final. Avani equalled the world record to win the Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 final. The 19-year-old created history by becoming the first woman from India to win a Paralympics gold medal. This is also India's first gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
