Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing a rally in West Bengal’s Bankura, mounted a strong offensive against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her government. He alleged that a deep-rooted “syndicate system” has taken over governance in the state, harming ordinary citizens for political gain. Shah asserted that the BJP, if voted to power, would dismantle this network and bring transparency and accountability. He also raised concerns over the condition of potato farmers, claiming they are not receiving fair prices due to restrictions on interstate sales. Promising policy changes, Shah said a BJP government would ensure better market access and improved returns for farmers across Bengal.
