Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal said that Vijay has approached the Congress seeking support to form a government in Tamil Nadu. He stated that the party views the mandate as one for a secular government committed to upholding the Constitution. Venugopal added that Congress is determined to prevent the BJP and its allies from influencing the state government and has asked the TNCC to take a final call on the request, keeping in mind the people’s mandate.
