West Bengal Poll Verdict 2026: Suvendu Adhikari Sees Shift in Voting, Claims ‘Hindu Consolidation’

West Bengal LoP and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari reacted to early election trends, claiming a consolidation of Hindu votes and a shift in Muslim voting patterns. He noted improved BJP performance in certain Muslim booths in Nandigram and credited Narendra Modi’s leadership promise for the party’s gains. Adhikari urged caution, saying clearer trends would emerge later in the day. After offering prayers at a temple, he expressed confidence that a government protecting Sanatan Dharma would come to power. Responding to remarks by Abhishek Banerjee on repolling in Falta, Adhikari accused him of arrogance, asserting that democracy ultimately prevails. He also drew parallels with past political changes in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, claiming people have historically rejected ‘jungle raj’.
