As counting continues in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2026, Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is leading in over 100 of 233 seats, signalling a strong showing. Reports suggest arrangements have been made at a private resort in Poonjeri near Mamallapuram to house around 100 winning MLAs. Sources indicate Vijay has been alerted to possible attempts by rival parties such as DMK and AIADMK to approach elected candidates. The party has directed winners to report to its Panaiyur headquarters. Concerns rose earlier after a TVK candidate from Edappadi briefly went missing during the scrutiny phase.
