Finland joins NATO, Russia threatens counter-measures
The President of Finland reiterated that the move to join Nato was prompted by concerns of the nation's security and that the job was not yet done. And even though the Finnish President said the membership isn't targeted against anyone, the development is a massive blow to Russia that is wary of Nato reaching its borders. In fact, Ukraine's push to join Nato was one of the reasons that had prompted Moscow's war on its neighbour. Russia had also warned countries like Sweden and Finland against joining NATO.
