Kota students suicide: Rajasthan minister calls coaching institutes ‘mafia’, says they are only interested in minting money
A day after two students died by suicide in Kota, taking the number of students who had taken their own lives to 23 this year, Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has hit out at the coaching institutes, saying they are not interested in students’ welfare but only in minting money. He said that coaching institutes are in hurry to show results, and often humiliate students who are not able to score high in tests. The students who are under pressure due to high fees taken by the coaching institutes then end up taking their lives due to the humiliation and extreme disappointment.
