It was an unusual punishment for two policemen of Maharashtra when the court ordered them to trim grass for being late. A constable and a head constable from Manvat police station in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district were recently tasked with trimming grass as a disciplinary penalty. They had arrived 30 minutes late to a holiday court. According to senior officers, the two policemen were part of a night patrol that detained two men for roaming around suspiciously in Manvat. The two detainees were scheduled to be produced before the holiday court at 11am.
