NCP supporters smeared black ink on posters of party leaders who joined the NDA government. Ajit Pawar and 8 other NCP MLAs took oath as ministers in the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government. Oath-taking ceremony took place at Raj Bhawan in the presence of CM Eknath Shinde and Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis. The development comes after a high-voltage political drama in Maharashtra that saw the collapse of the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government and the formation of a new government led by Eknath Shinde. NCP is the second-largest party in the Maharashtra assembly after the Shiv Sena.
