On cam: Villagers risk lives to cross swollen river in makeshift boat to save ailing children
Villagers in Andhra’s Rebba risk their lives to cross swollen Nagavali river to save ailing children. Video of the incident went viral on social media. The villagers used a makeshift bamboo boat to shift two ill children to a nearby hospital due to the long-delayed completion of the essential Purnapadu-Labesu bridge on the Nagavali river in Komarada mandal. The Purnapadu-Labesu bridge construction started in 2006 but is still incomplete for various reasons.
