Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal: This Bengaluru railway station looks like an airport
Residents of Bengaluru have got the first airport-like train station with centralised air-conditioning that started operations from June 6. The Rs 314-crore Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal at Byappanahalli started operations without much fanfare. This is the first greenfield project where Indian railways constructed a world-class terminal, an official of south western railway (SWR) said. As per sources, the south western railway is likely to shift around 30 pairs of long distance trains to Sir MV terminal in phases.
