Bihar groom breaks Dhanush as part of Swayambar at his wedding
Weddings in India have always been an over-the-top affair, whether it be the ceremonies or the attires. This can be seen in a new video from Bihar, in which a groom lifts a bow and breaks it off before putting the garland on his bride.

The groom, dressed in his wedding attire, can be seen on stage, praying to Lord Shiva before dramatically breaking the bow.
While he did this, ‘pandits’ chanted mantras and explained the mythological tale. Once the bow was broken, the bride was brought to the stage and the garland ceremony was carried out.
The guests at the wedding thoroughly enjoyed the act put up and cheered in response.
The wedding was a big hit in the area, but it was reported that no Covid-19 protocols were followed whatsoever. The guests could be seen dancing with no social distancing being followed and no one was wearing masks.
