Dog cosies up to baby deer found in owner’s yard

Nothing is cuter than animal friendships! Musician

Pat Pollifrone

from

Nashville

posted adorable images of his dog

Zoey

cuddling up to a baby deer that he discovered in his garden in Cheatham County, Tennessee.

Pollifrone discovered the fawn in his yard. He took to Instagram and posted the image of the fawn he decided to name

Bambi

. He captioned the post, “Found this little sweetheart yesterday in the yard so we took her into the woods. Came out this morning and she was laying in the driveway. So, I guess we have a deer now.”

The same day, Pollifrone posted a video showing Bambi resting on ice packs and explained that the deer was being taken care of by him. His post read, “Bambi is in our care now. If she chooses to go back into the wild, she is free to do so. Just helping the critter get on her feet. She has been drinking goat milk and walking around the yard today and the infection in her eye is looking a lot better after pulling the ticks and applying Neosporin any tips on caring for Bambi are appreciated!”

In another post, images of his dog Zoey and Bambi cuddling up could be seen. He revealed that he had tried getting in touch with several agencies and shelters which could accommodate Bambi and provide the required care. But his attempts were met with responses like not ‘taking any newbies.’

“Tried calling the local rescues and they aren’t taking any newbies (even fawns as it says on their voice message) and TWRA is tough to get ahold of so we will continue to care for the baby until mama comes back. She is doing SO MUCH BETTER!” his post said.

Finally, the musician found a home for Bambi. Later that day, he shared another post, a video of Gibson Hollow Goat Ranch, a goat farm. He said, “I think we found a spot for Bambi to live! #goatfarm.”
