NEW DELHI: Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently ran into an old friend from Delhi University during his appearance at the Republic Summit 2024 and the video touched hearts and soon went viral on social media.

The two old DU friends were seen reminiscing college life, joking about their current ages and sharing a warm hug. The video resonated deeply with many, evoking sentiments of fondness and warmth.

Sharing the video on Instagram, the minister of petroleum and natural gas as well as housing and urban affairs wrote, "As I was stepping out after my session at the Republic Summit 2024, I was pleasantly surprised to meet my old friend from DU Raj Dutta Ji. We took a little stroll down memory lane and spoke about how we used to be a part of the group travelling on the University Special bus more than five decades ago!"


The video starts with Puri saying, “I know you. We used to travel on that special from university.”

"I never thought we would meet," reacted Raj.

"I am so happy to meet you, so happy," replied Puri.

"I was only 20 then and now I am 75," said Raj.

"So what, I am also 72! How is Anita, she went to Kuwait or something, no?"

"It has been ages since I have been wanting to meet you all."

"You should have, you should have!" responded Puri.

The two end their reunion with a warm hug.
