Watch: Man running faster than London tube goes viral
A video that has surfaced online shows a man getting off a London underground station, only to run and board the same train at the next stop.
The clip recorded by the man himself shows him racing against a London subway train as he deboards on a platform to run towards the next station in order to catch the same coach of the same train. He does it all in little more than a minute.
As per the visuals, the man gets off the train at Mansion House subway station and catches the same tube at the next stop, i.e. Cannon Street station.
The video of the entire chase and sequence of him running from one station to another is captured through a body-fitted camera. There’s another person who’s recording the visuals from inside the same coach of the metro that the man exits and then boards again.
After successfully completing the challenge, the man enters the coach and lies down on the floor of the train, completely exhausted from all the running. The onlookers clap for him while he regains his breath and strength.
The now-viral video was posted on Twitter by Vala Afshar and captioned as, “This runner exited a train, ran to the next stop, on got back on the same train. (sic) ”
The video amassed a slew of reactions and garnered close to humongous 50 million views.
A user joked that the man could have ran home and cooked dinner and then got back on the same carriage.
A Banglorean wondered if the challenge can be tried in Namma Metro.
It appears the original video was posted in 2017 by a certain Pepo Jiménez.
A similar video that has gone viral recently shows a player chasing another player in the fastest possible pursuit one would ever see in the game of American football. The video racked up more than 10 million views.
