Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are singing praises for their ‘The Rip’ co-star Teyana Taylor. Taylor brings serious credentials to the table. She just won a Golden Globe for ‘One Battle After Another’ and earned her first Grammy nomination for the album 'Escape Room.' Affleck caught wind of her talent through private chats with peers. During an Entertainment Weekly interview, he revealed how these off-the-record talks stood out.




He recounted bumping into Leonardo DiCaprio, who gushed without holding back. “I ran into DiCaprio, and he had nothing but incredible things to say,” Affleck said. “These are informal conversations, not in front of a camera or anything, where people will often say, ‘Uh, it was tough,’ or some kind of signal that maybe it’s not what it seems. But she’s really the opposite of that, and she blows people away”.

She’s just so unbelievably talented with this kind of ambition to put herself out there in so many ways. It’s just great to see her acknowledged.”

Taylor steps into the role of Detective Numa Baptiste. She shares the screen with Damon as Lt. Dane Dumars and Affleck as Detective Sergeant J.D. Byrne. The plot kicks off when these partners raid a derelict stash house and uncover millions in cartel cash.
