‘Ted Lasso’ season 4 release: Here is all you need to know

‘Ted Lasso’ is returning this year for its 4th season, 3 years after the third season aired online on a streaming platform. With new and old faces confirmed to become series regulars, fans cannot wait for the next few months to pass by. Here is all you need to known about the upcoming show and season.

The official synopsis for the upcoming season of ‘Ted Lasso’ reads, “Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," Apple's plot synopsis says. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

This time around, the women’s soccer team is taking the central focus of the season as per the teaser trailer, which was just released online. Lasso will be coaching the Division 2 women’s soccer team and will be taking on the biggest challenge he has taken yet. The trailer itself shares glimpses of Ted Lasso officially returning to London, training the team, and interacting with fellow characters.

A lot of old actors, along with new faces, will be joining the latest season, which is only a few months away from release. Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift had been the first series regulars to be confirmed for the 4th season. Jason Sudeikis, who created the show a long time ago and plays the lead Ted Lasso, will also be returning for the new season. Other than that, Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt will also be making an appearance in season 4. New faces on the 4th season include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

At first, there was no certainty as to when the show would be released this year. However, as per the latest reports shared by Deadline, it has been confirmed that it will officially release worldwide on August 5 later this year. Other than that, the famed star from the show, Hannah Waddingham, had also commented and teased that the release had been scheduled for August.
