Bhuvan Bam turns commentator for 'Takeshi's Castle' Indian reboot: Happy to bring my creative self as Titu Mama
Actor Bhuvan Bam is bringing back Titu Mama to screens as he turns commentator for the Indian reboot of the popular 1980s Japanese game show, 'Takeshi's Castle'.
The upcoming Indian reboot of the hit game show will stay true to its eccentric and entertaining spirit. Viewers can expect a thrilling blend of swashbuckling adventures, whimsical set-ups, challenging games, and hilarious commentary. As contestants embark on a series of daunting escapades, Bhuvan will provide a uniquely Indian perspective and infuse elements of humour and laughter into the show, portraying one of his beloved characters from BB Ki Vines.
With this, Bhuvan replaces Jaaved Jaffrey who turned the game show into a legacy as he cultivated a strong fan following courtesy of his antics and comical commentary. Sharing the exciting news, the actor took to his handle to write, "Aye beta Moshi Moshi! Aa raha hai Titu Mama, phaad ke pajama! Takeshi’s Castle ft. #BhuvanOnPrime coming soon.
Reacting to the news, Varun Dhawan wrote in the comments, "Epicnesssss."
Talking about the iconic show, Bhuvan Bam said, "Since the original version of Takeshi's Castle was on television, I have been an ardent fan of the concept, execution and hilarity of the game show. It's highly nostalgic for me to have grown up seeing the show and now voicing it, is genuinely a full circle moment."
He further added, "I don't think there is anyone in my generation who hasn't loved and enjoyed this madcap comedy. Being a part of this incredible game show is a privilege and an honour. As an entertainer, my viewers have always appreciated the unique yet relatable characters that I've portrayed, and I am happy to bring a bit of my creative self as 'Titu Mama'. I am hopeful that the younger generation will love this show as much as we did."
Recapturing the essence of the classic series, the new season will feature over 100 contestants forming the "attacking army." Their mission - to conquer the castle while contending with a variety of guards, devils, and oversized foam mushrooms along the way. Only the bravest and luckiest contestants will have the chance to face Takeshi himself and potentially win a grand prize.
