Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue
Akshay Kumar is back with his reel avatar based on a real life hero. In this survival rescue drama, Kumar stars as Mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who pulls all stops to rescue coal miners when they suddenly get trapped underground, when an indoor blast activates a nearby pit, leading to water seeping into the mine. The film is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Gill, a brave and diligent mining engineer from IIT Dhanbad who rescued these 65 trapped miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. Co-starring Parineeti Chopra in an extended cameo.
