The movie, starring Tripti Dimri and debutante Babil Khan is set in the late 1930s and 40s, and is the story of the young, eponymous playback singer and her torrid past. As Qala struggles with pressure to perform her best, stressed with the added expectations of her mother, another singer Jagan, threatens to upend her life. As the story progresses, Qala gets more and more disturbed as a voice in her head keeps echoing that something is wrong. Directed by Anvita Dutt Guptan, the movie will release on Netflix today, December 1.

The spine-chilling thriller Freddy has been creating a lot of buzz ever since its teaser and posters were released recently. The movie, starring Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F in lead roles is said to be a whirlwind ride of love, obsession and drama. Kartik Aaryan plays psychopath dentist Freddy Ginwal who becomes obsessed with Kainaz (Alaya F), even holding her hostage at one point. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the movie will release on Disney+ Hotstar on December 2.

Centering around a dysfunctional family, the movie is about a successful lawyer, who oblivious to the fact that her mother has passed, ignores her father's calls when he tries to tell her. Later, riddled by guilt, she travels to her hometown Chandigarh, where she is reunited with her three brothers. The siblings then, must learn to keep their differences aside and live under one roof, at least for some days. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Rashmika Mandanna and others, the family saga directed by Vikas Bahl will stream on Netflix from December 2.

Inspired by true events, India Lockdown narrates four parallel stories simultaneously. The movie charts the aftermath of the lockdown, resulting from Covid 19 that brought the entire country on its knees, resulting in huge personal and economic losses. The drama flick is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and boasts of an ensemble cast, including Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar and Prakash Belawadi. Releasing on ZEE5 on December 2.
