2024 KBS drama awards to air next week following reschedule

The 2024 KBS Drama Awards are set to air next week, following a change in schedule.

KBS announced on 3 January that the pre-recorded award ceremony will be aired on 11 January at 9:20 p.m. KST. The ceremony had been scheduled for a live broadcast on December 31 but was canceled following the unfortunate crash of a Jeju Air plane on 29 December.

Although the live broadcast was canceled, the awards ceremony still went on schedule on December 31 and was taped for a later broadcast. It was considered as a gesture of respect for the victims and an opportunity for the annual event to give recognition to the best of dramas and stars for that year.
