Despite facing criticism, Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee starrer ‘Gyeongseong Creature’ has
charmed fans across the globe. The popular series, whose first part premiered on December 22, has secured one of the top spots in the weekly list of most-watch TV shows (non-English).
Just within a few days of its release, the first season has already secured 3 million views and accumulated 24 million viewing hours. This historical drama is set in 1945 and follows the journey of an entrepreneur and a sleuth, who have to fight for survival and face a lurking monster, who is born out of human greed.‘Gyeongseong Creature’ is created by Kang Eun-kyung,Chung Dong-yoon.
In this drama, Park Seo-joon essays the role of Jang Tae-sang, the wealthiest man in Gyeongseong and the master of the city’s biggest pawn shop, the House of Golden Treasure. While Han So-hee plays the role of Yoon Chae-ok, who has closely worked with her father to track down missing people. This dynamic duo joins forces to search for clues in the Ongseong Hospital, where an unknown fear awaits them.
Soon after the series was released, fans expressed disappointment over the original soundtrack of the drama and narrative too. The first season featured seven episodes, while the second installment will feature three episodes and will be released on January 5, 2024.
