Here’s why ‘My Demon’ episodes were cancelled for December last week

Fans of Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung were just warming up to the couple’s romance in ‘My Demon’ and the run was met with a break! Episodes 11 and 12, which were scheduled for release on December 29 and 30 were cancelled.


‘My Demon’ premiered on November 24, 2023 and narrates the story of a contract marriage between a heiress of a conglomerate, essayed by Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung), and a demon who temporarily loses his powers, plays by Jeong Gu-won (Song Kang). The last episode was aired on December 23, showcasing a gripping twist of fate between the leads.


As viewers anticipated the drama to unfold in the last weekend of 2023, the series was postponed. Due to the 2023 SBS Drama Awards and Entertainment Awards, Episodes 11 and 12 of ‘My Demon’ were cancelled. They will now air on January 5 and 6. Thanks to its popularity, the series has secured the second spot in the Non-english category on the OTT platform where it is being streamed for the international audience.


Interestingly, 2023 SBS Drama Awards and Entertainment Awards brought the drama into spotlight as Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang won the Best Couple honour. Song Kang was missing from the event and his partner picked up the trophy on his behalf.
