Originally scheduled for broadcast on December 29 at 6 p.m. KST, the episode of the popular singing competition will not be broadcast. Instead, MBC will dedicate its programming to detailed coverage of the plane crash that occurred earlier in the day at 9:03 a.m. KST.

The tragic accident occurred when a sum of 181 people travelled in a passenger plane as it had 175 of the passengers and six staff members. The authorities investigating the cause of the wreck are currently working at the site with emergency response crews to administer aid and provide an assessment of the impact.

This decision reflects the commitment of the network towards informing viewers at this time of a national mourning. MBC will give preference to the coverage of this disastrous event to provide prompt news and pay respect to those who have been impacted by the disaster.

The incident killed many people, their families, and others in one way or another who were influenced by the sad accident. The network has yet to announce the date of the postponed episode of 'The King of Mask Singer'.

Audiences are encouraged to join the nation in offering support and condolences following the tragedy.
