Naa In Woo’s military enlistment, V gains 10 kilos, Jinny's Kitchen 2 announced: Newsmakers of the week

It was a week full of surprises! From BTS V gaining 10 kilos during his military enlistment, to Naa In Woo gearing up for his mandatory service after celebrating the success of ‘Marry My Husband’ and a second serving of Jinny Kitchen being announced… there were quite a few interesting celebrities who hit headlines this week!

​Naa In Woo requests for delay in military enlistment


‘Marry My Husband’ has got the audience glued and the series is all set to draw the curtains in the coming days. The makers are planning to celebrate the success with a grand trip to Vietnam with its cast. Park Min Young has reportedly already confirmed her attendance, while it has been revealed that Na In Woo, the lead actor of the series, has requested to postpone his military enlistment in order to join the celebration. His representatives confirmed the same, "We are hoping to join the vacation after receiving permission from the Military Manpower Administration.”

​Jinny’s Kitchen season 2 confirmed


This week, Jinny's Kitchen season 2 was officially confirmed. Park Seo-joon, Jung Yu-mi, and Choi Woo-sik will reportedly join the hit variety show, reported Star News. Na Young-seok will take on the directorial reins of this entertainer and the team will reportedly film in Iceland in March. Revealing details, an official associated with the production stated, "The members have already discussed joining 'Jinny's Kitchen' Season 2 together. However, as 'Jinny's Kitchen' requires filming overseas for about 2 weeks and all members are busy actors with packed schedules, meticulous adjustments are necessary.” However, BTS’ V will be missing from the shoot, since he is currently enlisted for the mandatory military service.

​BTS' V gains 10 kg after joining military


BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung enlisted in the military in December last year. Two months later, the popular k-pop idol shared a health update with the ARMY, revealing that he has put on substantial weight. On February 14, V took to his Weverse handle and shared an interim report which translated as, "Il’l do an interim report. 72.5 kg achieved. Il’l be back. Loyalty." His pre-enlistment weight was reportedly 62 kg and looks like in the past two months he has bulked up 10 kilos. Interestingly, V had once joked about a "bulk-up competition", aiming to reach 86kg while serving in the army.

​Ji Chang Wook lands in smoking controversy


Earlier this week, Ji Chang Wook landed in controversy after eagle eyed netizens spotted the popular actor smoking an e-cigarette while rehearsing scenes for his recently concluded drama 'Welcome to Samdal-ri'. His agency was quick to issue an apology, which read, "We apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to the behavior of actor Ji Chang Wook revealed in the drama behind content released on January 26. In the making of content, there was a scene where actor Ji Chang Wook used an electronic cigarette indoors. It caused discomfort to those who considered it an inappropriate scene. Actor Ji Chang Wook is aware that his actions were inappropriate and deeply regrets disappointing many people. We sincerely apologize once again to those who have seen the content, the staff on the scene, the actors, and the viewers who loved the work."
