‘Serendipity's Embrace’ trailer teases fate-bound encounters between Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop

‘Serendipity's Embrace’, the highly anticipated romance drama starring Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop, is set to grace screens this July with its heartfelt tale of rekindled love and overcoming past wounds. Known for her memorable roles in ‘Love Alarm’ and ‘The Tale of Nokdu’, Kim So Hyun takes on the character of Lee Hong Ju, a woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Kang Hu Young, played by Chae Jong Hyeop, during a blind date years after their high school days.


The recently released trailer for ‘Serendipity's Embrace’, unveiled on July 16, offers a glimpse into their current relationship dynamics. As Lee Hong Ju and Kang Hu Young navigate the complexities of their past and present emotions, viewers witness the resurgence of old feelings and the emergence of new challenges. Kang Hu Young, who has harbored feelings for Lee Hong Ju since their school days, finds himself entangled in a web of emotions as they confront their shared history and unexplored desires.


Scheduled to premiere on July 22, ‘Serendipity's Embrace’ will consist of eight episodes airing every Monday and Tuesday. This series is directed by Song Hyun Wook, acclaimed for his work on ‘The King's Affection’ and ‘The Beauty Inside’, and penned by screenwriter Park Geu Ro.


The drama is based on the popular webtoon ‘Uyeonilkka’, written by Nam Ji Eun and illustrated by Kim In Ho. It revolves around an animation production director haunted by past traumas that have left her wary of love. However, fate intervenes when she unexpectedly reunites with her first love after a decade. Now a financial planner who understands her history of hurt, he too grapples with reconnecting with his past flame.
