According to reports on Korean news portals, the renowned actress has chosen and finalized her next project. The news came to light on June 30, when the star's management agency, confirmed that Son had decided to star in the upcoming JTBC romantic drama titled, '

.'
It has been three years since she was seen in the drama 'Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.' The romantic drama '39' is said to be a 12-episode series that will tell the tale of the everyday lives of three friends on the brink of 40.
The actress has been offered the character,
Cha Mi Jo
, a woman raised in an affluent household while having everything she could possibly wish for. In the drama, she is shown as the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam.
The series will feature an ensemble cast including
Jeon Mi Do

Ahn So Hee

Yeon Woo Jin

Lee Moo Saeng
. It was reported that shooting for the series will begin in August 2021, and will be helmed by director Kim Sang Ho.
