"The Land of Happiness" has released a gripping new trailer and stunning posters! The film stars Jo Jung Suk as Jung In Hoo, a lawyer fighting to save Park Tae Joo (Lee Sun Gyun) in the 1979 presidential assassination trial. This historical drama dives deep into the real-life event of President Park Chung Hee’s assassination on October 26, 1979.

The Posters

First Poster: It features Jung In Hoo, Park Tae Joo, and Jeon Sang Doo (Yoo Jae Myung), the head of the Joint Investigation Department. Jung In Hoo’s determined expression highlights his resolve to save Park Tae Joo, whose soldier status subjects him to an unjust trial. Jeon Sang Doo's sharp gaze adds tension, hinting at his ambition.




Second Poster: This black-and-white image shows Jung In Hoo passionately arguing in court and Park Tae Joo standing firm. The powerful visuals underscore the fight for a fair trial against hidden powers.




The Trailer

The trailer opens with Park Tae Joo's turmoil before the assassination, transitioning to the intense courtroom drama. It captures Jung In Hoo’s journey from skepticism to genuine commitment as he defends Park Tae Joo against an unfair trial orchestrated by Commander Jeon Sang Doo.

Jung In Hoo initially defends Park Tae Joo for personal gain but soon becomes invested in the case upon witnessing the soldier’s steadfastness and integrity. The trailer also introduces Park Tae Joo’s wife, Ok Jung Ae (Kang Mal Geum), and Jung In Hoo’s girlfriend, Jo Soon Jung (Jin Ki Joo).

The trailer concludes with a powerful moment where Park Tae Joo acknowledges Jung In Hoo’s efforts, calling him a "true lawyer." "The Land of Happiness" premieres on August 14.




Meet the Cast

Lee Sun Gyun: Born on March 2, 1975, Lee Sun Gyun began in musical theater and gained fame with "Coffee Prince" (2007). Known for "Pasta" (2010) and "My Wife Is Having an Affair This Week" (2016), he won Best Actor for "Paju" in 2010. Married to Jeon Hye Jin, they have two sons.

Jo Jung Suk: Born on December 26, 1980, Jo Jung Suk transitioned from musicals to films with "Architecture 101" (2012). He starred in "The King 2 Hearts" (2012) and "Oh My Ghostess" (2015). He joined "Youth Over Flowers" in 2016.

Yoo Jae Myung: Born on June 3, 1973, Yoo Jae Myung debuted in "The Last Witness" (2001). Known for roles in "Reply 1988" (2015-2016) and "Ms. Temper & Nam Jung Gi" (2016), he is a respected figure in both films and TV dramas.
