The actress, who rose to stardom after playing the character of Prerna Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor's 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay', has been no looking back since then. The popular show ran for eight long years. After winning the show the actress was quoted saying in the Times Of India report that she intended to spend the entire money on her daughter Palak's education.

Ugly Break-up and Divorce: Shweta, who had an ugly break-up with ex-husband Raja Chaudhary and was also a victim of domestic violence has seen one of the most difficult times of her life when she was married to Raja. The actress was quoted saying in the Times Of India interview, “I had too many people to handle me and that is the reason I was able to handle my situation. Right from my mother to my brothers, everyone was by my side. When I was doing 'Kasauti Zindagi.. ki' the sets of 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' and 'Kasauti.. both were interlinked and were divided with shutters. So whenever Raja created a chaos outside the set, Ekta used to give a call and get the shutter opened for me so that I could run out and escape. They never gave me stress that they are facing problem in shooting because of me. I was financially secured and had money to hire a lawyer for myself. My family never told me that because of me Raja is creating nuisance every day outside my building." According to a media report Shweta got divorced from Raja after agreeing to sign over their jointly owned property- a one-bedroom flat in Malad worth Rs. 93 lakhs, as settlement.

Single mother: 'Big Boss 4' ex-contestant Shweta Tiwari was a single mother to daughter Palak for a long time after divorcing her ex husband Raja Choudhary. Shweta took the custody of her daughter and raised her all by herself. She was a victim of Raja’s assault and was shattered from inside. She went through a traumatic phase but made sure her daughter was financially secure. She continued working and won 'Big Boss 4'. Last year she got happily married with TV Actor Abhinav Kohli and is settled now.

Link-up rumours with Manoj Tiwari: Though Shweta emerged as the winner of 'Bigg Boss' with dignity and grace but her journey in the 'Bigg Boss' house was a controversial one. Apart from constantly being in fight with Dolly, Shweta was also linked-up with co-contestant Manoj Tiwari. The Bhojpuri star even discussed about his wife being suspicious over him for having an affair with Shweta in the 'Bigg Boss' house. After Manoj came out the house things between his wife and him sorted out for some time.
