Russia hits Kyiv with drones and missiles killing 2; Ukraine attacks Bryansk oil pipeline; violence escalates
At least two people were killed on Sunday after a mass Russian drone and missile strike hit Ukraine's capital Kyiv sending smoke rising from the Cabinet of Ministers building.
According to the Associated Press, it was not immediately clear if the smoke was caused by a direct hit, which would mark a major escalation in Russia’s air campaign.
Officials said two people were killed and 11 others injured in the attack. Among the dead was a one-year-old child, whose body was pulled from the rubble by rescuers, said Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s city administration.

Russia has so far avoided targeting government buildings in the city center.
This is the second mass Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv in the span of two weeks, as hopes for peace talks continue to fade.
According to Ukraine Air Force, Russia launched 805 drones and 13 missiles overnight.
"Air force units detected and tracked 818 air attack vehicles," the air force posted on Telegram.
Meanwhile, Ukraine attacked the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia's Bryansk region -- transit pipeline supplies Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia.
Commander of Ukraine's drone forces Robert Brovdi said that a "Comprehensive fire damage" was inflicted on the pipeline.
