The Israeli army said that dozens of jets took part in the simultaneous raids yesterday on Tehran, Shiraz and Tabriz.
It claimed that in Tehran, strikes had hit the command centres of Iranian security forces, including the intelligence ministry and Basij militia, while sites for storing and launching drones, missiles and air defence systems were targeted.
In Shiraz, the headquarters of Iran’s internal security command and a missile storage site were targeted, while defence systems were destroyed in Tabriz, the army said.

Loud explosions shook Iran's capital on Tuesday, after a night of bombing in the war with the United States and Israel, according to AFP.
It was not immediately clear what the targets were but the blasts were heard in Tehran city centre, and followed a night of heavy explosions mixed with thunder and rain across the city, the agency said.
Authorities in Doha have issued a public safety alert urging residents to stay indoors and remain in secure locations after reports of loud “booms” were heard across the capital, according to Aljazeera.
The advisory asked people to avoid windows, glass façades and other exposed areas until authorities confirm that the situation is safe.
Several large explosions were reported in northern Tehran, near the Saadabad Palace complex, reported Al Jazeera.
Our correspondent in Tehran notes that the cause of the latest blasts is still unclear, though eyewitnesses reported the explosions happening close to the former royal palace.
Earlier, there were reports of airstrikes targeting Kharaj, Shahriar, and regions en route to Shiraz. These came after a major strike struck central Tehran on Monday.
