The renewed attacks by new Iran regime under Mojtaba Khamenei amid escalating tensions in the Middle East have hit Bahrain’s Bapco oil facility, the largest refinery in the country.
Thick black smoke was seen rising from Bahrain’s largest oil refinery, Bahrain Oil Company, after an aggressive strike allegedly carried out by Iran’s new hardline leadership under Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ali Khamenei.
Smoke surrounded the refinery after authorities earlier said injuries and damage were reported in the Sitra area following an Iranian drone attack, according to witnesses.
The Bapco oil facility is one of the major refineries in Bahrain and was struck amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, as Tehran’s leadership intensified its offensive across the region following the killing of Ali Khamenei.
Earlier, an Iranian ballistic missile struck Bahrain’s primary oil refinery on Thursday, triggering large fires at one of the Gulf nation’s most critical energy facilities.
