Pak singer brings attention towards farmer's miseries in new song
AMRITSAR: After singers of India's Punjab came in support of agitating
Kisana- a song sung by Pakistani Punjab’s Jawad Ahmad, invokes the fighting spirit of farmers. In a nearly three-minute video, the song not only speaks of farmer's significance, their predicaments but also inspires them to forget their past disputes and rise to the occasion.
Like Indian Punjabi singers, the song by the Pakistani signer is also going viral on social media.

While supporting the farmer's agitations, he said "The situation for peasants here in Pakistan is dismal too, the third world economies are still largely based on primitive methods and tools of agriculture and we need a peasant's right movement all over the world including Pakistan".
Notably, various Indian Punjabi singers including
Jawad said he made ‘Kisana’ so that the farming community across the world feels motivated by the movement initiated by Indian farmers and demand their rights in their respective countries.
Recipient of three presidential state awards including Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for music, Sitara-e-Eesar for social work and Human Rights award for raising voice for working classes, Jawad is also the Chairman of Barabri Party Pakistan.
