“Charlie thought Erika was going to kill him”: Candace Owens raises new questions about Erika Kirk in ‘Bride of Charlie’ episode

A fresh wave of controversy has erupted online after Candace Owens addressed new claims surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk. The discussion unfolded during Owens’ podcast series Bride of Charlie, where she has repeatedly questioned the narrative surrounding Kirk’s final days and the actions of people close to him. Her latest comments focused on statements made by Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, and quickly triggered intense debate across social media.

The controversy centers on an alleged text message that Owens previously claimed Kirk sent shortly before he died. According to Owens, the message warned that someone might try to kill him. Erika Kirk has publicly rejected that claim in earlier interviews, stating that she had access to her husband’s phone and would have known if such a message existed. The disagreement has now become one of the most disputed elements in the ongoing public conversation about Kirk’s death.

Candace Owens responds to viewer comment during podcast

During a recent episode of her series, Candace Owens read a viewer’s comment that questioned Erika Kirk’s previous statements and referenced the alleged warning message.



"Sure, Erika. You never dated for 5 years in New York. You never ever entered beauty pageant. You stayed at home for eight months studying the Bible. You never checked Charlie's texts. You never knew Charlie was afraid for his life. Charlie had a neck of steel. Dangerously pathological," Owens read the comment.

The discussion gained further traction online after a social media post circulated widely. The tweet from commentator Evan Kilgore stated:

“HOLY CRAP: Candace Owens reveals Erika Kirk told her that Charlie DID text Andrew Kolvet and Dan Flood the night before he was murdered that he was worried "the Left" was going to kill him. Candace said Erika owened several TPUSA "lies" and clarified them to her.”

Responding to the comment during the podcast, Owens offered her own interpretation of the situation.

"Yeah, she's pathological. I would say that... There's no other explanation. I mean, unless she's telling the truth and Charlie didn't tell her, and maybe they all did know who he thought was going to kill. The only way that would make sense is if Charlie thought Erika was going to kill him and didn't text. I wouldn't text Erika. Erika's going to kill me. Otherwise, why is your husband not telling you he thinks he's going to die?"

Candace Owens also questioned why certain individuals connected to Kirk’s organization were not dismissed after the alleged warning message became public.

"He did not get fired from Turning Point USA. He had one job. He effed it up, and he did not get fired for some strange reason, which a grieving widow might do. I feel like Dan should have told you that. Andrew Kolvet, the PR guy, should have told you that. You guys are coming up together on Charlie's burial. You're plotting together to say what should we tell the public?"



She later added another claim about the internal communication around the situation.

"Sorry. I feel bad for Andrew Kolvet. I feel bad that they've made him be the person that has to lie, and he's kind of catching all these strays, but she's been the hand directing him. I now know that because of the firings, Erika has been directing the messaging from the very beginning."

So far, Erika Kirk has not issued a public response to Owens’ latest comments.
