Posts on social media depicted WallyGator, donning a harness adorned with his name, tethered outside the stadium on a Wednesday.

WallyGator, a therapeutic alligator in service to Joie Henney of Jonestown, Pennsylvania, enjoys a vast following on various social media platforms, where he is frequently observed engaging in affectionate interactions, such as hugging and kissing. This reptilian star boasts a significant presence on Instagram and TikTok.

To the surprise of bystanders, Henney brought Wally the alligator to the Philadelphia Phillies' home ground in preparation for their Wednesday clash against Pittsburgh.

The Citizens Bank Park's policy regarding support animals is available on the official Phillies website, explicitly stating, "Guide dogs, service animals, or service animals in training are welcome, while all other animals are prohibited."

In an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer last year, Henney disclosed that WallyGator aids him in combating depression, emphasizing the alligator's affinity for giving hugs and asserting that it had never exhibited any aggressive behavior.
