NEW DELHI: Cam Atkinson scored two goals to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. The Flyers won their second game in a row and for the third time in four games.

Joel Farabee and Sean Walker added one goal each for the Flyers. Sean Couturier and Owen Tippett contributed two assists each.

Flyers goaltender Carter Hart made 22 saves, while Oilers goaltender Jack Campbell stopped 29 shots.

Atkinson's second goal of the contest at 4:17 of the third period gave the Flyers a 4-1 lead. From that point, the Flyers tightened defensively and limited the Oilers' offensive chances for the remainder of the game.

Zach Hyman scored the lone goal for the Oilers, who have lost three of their first four games of the season. Star forward Connor McDavid was held without a shot on goal.

Philadelphia took a 1-0 lead in the first period when Farabee scored a snap shot that went past Campbell's blocker. Atkinson extended the lead to 2-0 in the second period by redirecting Tippett's shot.

Edmonton closed the gap to 2-1 with Hyman's goal in the second period, but the Flyers quickly regained their two-goal advantage when Walker scored a short-handed goal.

The victory extended the Flyers' recent success, while the Oilers continue to struggle early in the season.
